The Rattler Fishing Team traveled to Norfork Lake this past weekend to fish in a Bassmaster Open tournament for juniors and high school anglers. Student anglers from many different states were there competing for 6 spots to earn an added chance to go to nationals. Asher Williams and Caleb Kuykendall weighed in a limit of fish but we're about 3 lbs shy of earning a spot. Gavin Staggs and Ryan Moore fished in the junior bracket. This was an awesome experience on a very big stage. The weigh in video and results are posted on BASSMASTER.com! The Team travels to Greers Ferry this upcoming weekend for the State two-day tournament where one Murfreesboro high school team and two junior teams will compete. Finley McDaniel created a drawing for the 2022 Congressional Art Competition. The pencil piece titled “Never Forget” was given to Brendan Spaulding from Congressman Bruce Westerman’s office for delivery to the judging competition. MHS is honored to have Finley and her artistic vision. #GoRattlers
