One of the stories in the second grade new reading series was I Am Helen Keller. They learned about her and also Lois Braille. The students enjoyed trying to read the braille that Mrs. Horn’s class found in the building!

Mid-winter break is approaching! Please be reminded that there will be no school from Friday, February 16th through Monday, February 19th.

Students will be dismissed at 2:12 PM on Wednesday, February, 14th. Busses will run at 2:15 PM. Teachers will remain on campus for the remainder of the scheduled school day to attend Professional Development meetings.
South Pike County School District will hold Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday February 15th from 3:00PM to 7:00PM at both elementary and High School Campuses. Students will be dismiss at to 2:30PM on this day.
Congratulations to MHS' February MVP, Officer Tommy Stuard. His resume is far too long to list because he has a long history of keeping people safe.
