MHS EAST students began the “Creative Critter Reading Program” with Mrs. Terrell’s second grade class. The EAST students read to the class with special guests, Big Al Turtle and Jeffery Turtle. Big Al and Jeffery were there to encourage students to read. EAST students hope that by allowing students to read to a critter, they can gain confidence and enjoyment in reading. Mrs. Terrell’s students have been challenged to read a set number of books this coming month to earn another critter reading session.
